UPLOADING YOUR SITE

To correctly upload your site, open your FTP Program (creating a shortcut from the actual program to the desktop is useful).

Click “ok” to connect to the server.

On the Remote system, double-click the WEB folder.

On the Local System, go into the My Documents folder and open the Website folder you created.

Highlight the pages you have edited and click the arrow going right to transfer the files

CHECK YOUR WORK by going on the Internet and viewing your site.

Please email us to let us know you have updated your site so we will not make changes by mistake. Please include the domain name and page names that were updated.

Guidelines:

	Make sure you always download and upload from and into the WEB folder that is on the Remote System
	If using Front Page, do not create forms and things that require Front Page extensions, as we do not support these
	Do NOT transfer file folders such as _vti_cnf or _vti_pvt. These folders contain files that we do not support and will only be used in Front Page. Your site does not need these files and they will only take up space.
	All files should be transfered so that they can be edited in Front Page
