Server: WE have a buckjones.net built dual
2400 MHz Unix server load balanced with its twin. If
ever a glitch happens the other one catches it and e-mails
the world to come fix it. a FreeBSD Server for our Firewall,
two single 3060 MHz Unix servers for mail (also load
balanced the same way) with dual 2530's for hosting
e-commerce. Two of our Servers are equipped with Dual
2400 MHz Intel Pentium 4 XEON processors, 12 GB of RAM
and a 7 drive Raid 5 hard disk array for redundancy
/ reliability on our websites. These are load balanced
and answer the same address.. Our mail servers are redundant
with two 3060 MHz FreeBSD systems running mail. |

Our back up computer
backs up the entire web server daily, the mail server
every 12 hours, and the e-commerce server every 4 hours.
This insures that your data is never out for more then
a day and the e-commerce sites 4 hours. |

Bandwidth: Unlike
hosting companies that offer unlimited bandwidth, we
feel a need to set limits on our customer's bandwidth
usage. The reason being, we'd rather turn down a customer
or charge them accordingly than allow them to use more
than their fair share of resources to the detriment
of our other customers. Bandwidth (the amount of data
flowing through the lines connecting our server to the
Internet) is NOT CHEAP. Therefore, hosting companies
that offer unlimited bandwidth invariably have to do
one thing: use up every bit of bandwidth that is allocated
to the server. This results in sites being bogged down
during "peak" periods. Our pledge is to never
use more than 1/2 of the amount of bandwidth our connection
will handle. IF we seem to come close to that, we will
buy more bandwidth or add lines until it is in tolerance.
as it is we have 2 t-1 lines connected to a fire wall
load balanced..load balance simply means if one goes
down the other takes care of it. |

As far as our policy
goes. Not much. No hate sites. No sites espousing extreme
political views or beliefs. No spamming (mass unsolicited
e-mailing) from our servers, and we would ask that you
give us notice 7 days in advance if you will be switching
hosts. Hey, we'll even help you move the site if you're
moving to a comparable server and we don't have to reconfigure
all the applications and scripts.
