Managing Your Own Site

| In order to manage your own site you need several things: |
 |
FTP Program to download/upload
your site onto our server |
|
WinZip or Stuff It to be
able to open the FTP program we provide |
|
Knowledge of html or a web
editing software such as Front Page |
|
Your user name and password
to access your site |
|
|

|
|
WINZIP: Computer Parts Etc. has provided an FTP program
FREE to use for all our clients. For easy transfer and downloading,
we have zipped up the file. In order for you to extract it, you need
to have WinZip. If you do not currently have WinZip or another file
extracting program installed on your PC please visit http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm
for WinZip 9.0 and click on Download Evaluation
of this program in order to open up the file you will need. |

Save in My Documents after download finish.
Go to My Documents and double click the WinZip 9.0 to install |

| LOCAL SYSTEM: You will need a location in
your local system (on your PC) to place the website you are
downloading from our server. Go into My Documents and create
a New Folder naming it DomainNameSite or My Website. |

| FTP: |
| Now to obtain the program that will allow you to download
and upload your site please click here. This will open a File
Download Window, select Save This File to Disk, or Right click
the here and select Save Target As to download file to your
PC.

| Choose Save In My Documents to easily find the file.
|
| Once files download, close browser and go to My Documents
folder. |
| Find a File that will look like this: |

| Named Web_Ftp.zip |
